The Basics
Like your natural teeth are secured in the jaw bones, dental implants are like artificial roots, secured in the jaw bone.
The material of the dental implants is important, and it lets your bone grow tightly against it, these treatments are tried and tested, and although it looks invasive, there is less recovery from a simple dental implants, compared with a tooth removal.
Advanced Dental Implants
Placing a dental implant is often quite straightforward, but making the end result look completely natural is far more difficult. Dr Sehmi is well-known across the industry for his expertise in dental implant placement.
Many dentists recommend us for more complex dental procedures, these include bone grafting, sinus lifting, placement of zygomatic implants, All On 4 and more.
You may not be familiar with all these terms, but what it means in practice is that we are trusted with any dental implant treatment, no matter how challenging.
All-On-4 Dental Implant Treatment
All-On-4, or "teeth in a day" dental implant treatment is a very popular treatment where you can have all of your bad teeth removed and replaced with dental implants, and it is all done in one day.
At The Wraysbury Clinic, we see a lot of people from up and down the country for this treatment.
1. Diagnosis & Planning
Arguably, this is the most important part of the whole process. With your goals in mind, we will discuss all available treatments so you can make an informed decision.
We use CBCT Scans and digital impressions to design the appearance of your new teeth. This goes from placement right down to the appropriate number of implants. More is not always best!
2. Implant Placement
As the majority of the treatment is guided and preplanned, the actual surgery is fairly simple and efficient.
By the end of the day, you'll be going home with a strong set of temporary teeth, take your new smile for a test drive. Although they're only temporary, these teeth will be a very accurate estimation of the final result.
3. Making The Final Teeth
Finally we go through a detailed process to complete the final set of teeth, in the material you have chosen. There are a few options here, and we discuss them at the outset.
At The Wraysbury Clinic, we spend a lot of time looking at the aesthetics of your smile. Other clinics may have a denture look to the All-On-4s that they do, ours are completely bespoke to you.
4. Long-Term Care
As most of our records are digital, if you do need a new set of teeth on the dental implants, or change the material in the future, this is fairly straightforward and will need fewer appointments.
We like to see outpatients once a year after they have had All-on-4, so we can take x-rays and ensure the dental implants are healthy and functioning well.
Cost Effective Solutions For A Full Set Of Implants
We will always try to work to your budget, and All-On-4 is sometimes beyond what people are ready to spend. For this reason, we offer other options that will give you a strong, full smile. One popular option is to have low-profile dentures made to fit on dental implants. These are sometimes called clip-in teeth. They look fantastic, and because dental implants secure them in position, they will not drop out while you're tucking in at your favourite restaurant!
